Program Overview

The Moderate to Intensive Educational Needs major at Ohio University prepares students to become Intervention Specialists eligible for K-12 public school teaching positions. The program includes coursework, field experiences, and assessments, covering topics such as CEC standards, supportive learning environments, and effective communication. Graduates are also qualified to work in agencies serving families, young children, and adults with disabilities.
