Program Overview

The Music Education Major with Choral Emphasis program at Ohio University provides comprehensive musical training, including instrument or voice lessons, music theory, history, and conducting. Students develop teaching skills through methods courses and hands-on experience in keyboard and electronic music labs. Graduates earn a Bachelor of Music degree and Ohio licensure to teach music K-12, with reciprocity agreements in 30 additional states.
