Program Overview

The Electronic Media Major (A.A.S.) at Ohio University Lancaster and Southern is a two-year program that prepares students for entry-level positions in the electronic media industry, including audio, video, and multimedia. The program emphasizes individualized instruction and hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment and software. Graduates are prepared for careers in various sectors of the media industry, including broadcast radio and television, cable television, advertising agencies, production houses, and corporate communications. The associate degree also serves as a preparatory pathway for students intending to continue their studies in the School of Media Arts and Studies on the Athens campus.
