Program Overview

The Advanced Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) is a 24-credit program designed for individuals with a CACREP-accredited master's degree in counseling. It provides the necessary coursework and internships to meet New York state licensing requirements for Mental Health Counseling. The program is typically completed in one year full-time and is offered on the Queens campus. Graduates of non-CACREP counseling master's programs may need to complete additional courses.
