Program Overview

The Early Childhood Education program at Southeast Missouri State University prepares future teachers to work with children in early childhood and elementary school settings. Students gain hands-on experience through field-based courses and are well-prepared for their careers, as evidenced by positive feedback from first-year teachers. Graduates may work in various settings, including classrooms, Parents as Teachers programs, and First Steps.
