Program Overview

The Elementary Education/Middle School Language Arts program at Southeast Missouri State University prepares future teachers to work with students in elementary and middle school settings. The program emphasizes hands-on experience through multiple field experiences and student teaching opportunities, both domestically and abroad. Graduates will be certified to teach grades 1-6 and 5-9. The program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
