Graduate Diploma of Human Nutrition

Program Overview

This program combines studies in food science, biochemistry, and public health to prepare students for careers as nutritionists. Graduates may be eligible for registration as Associate Nutritionists and, after three years of experience, as Registered Nutritionists. The program offers a range of elective units, including Diet and Lifestyle Diseases, Public Health Nutrition, and Sports Nutrition.

Degree Overview:

• Learn about the composition of food and take your new skills into the community to provide nutrition advice that makes a real difference.
• Combines studies from a variety of related disciplines, such as food science, biochemistry, physiology, epidemiology, psychology, public health and politics.
• Graduates may be eligible for registration as an 'Associate Nutritionist'.
Following three years of relevant work experience, Associate Nutritionists are able to apply for 'Registered Nutritionist' status.
