Program Description:

The Practical Nursing program follows the guidelines set by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), National Entry-to-Practice Competencies for Registered Practical Nurses, and Practical Nursing Program Standard for Ontario Practical Nursing Programs.

Teaching:

• Faculty members with extensive clinical and teaching expertise
• Combination of classroom instruction, independent study, multimedia support, and ongoing clinical experience
• Blended courses that combine classroom and online instruction
• Small group instruction in clinical and laboratory settings with the use of computerized simulation
• Advanced clinical simulation facilities with realistic computerized "patients"
• Immersion in acute, rehabilitation, and long-term care agencies with industry-leading healthcare providers
