Program Overview

The Clinical Dental Assisting Certificate Program at Elgin Community College equips students with the knowledge and skills to work as dental assistants. Through classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experience, students learn dental assisting theory, procedures, and patient care. Upon completion, graduates are prepared for careers in various dental settings, including private offices, clinics, and hospitals. The program prepares students for the expected increase in demand for dental assistants in the coming years.
