Program Overview

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Welding Fabrication Technology is a 62-63 credit program that includes four short-term certificates. Students learn to operate safety equipment, use hand and power tools, identify metals, connect gas regulators, ignite torches, select filler rods, lay out and position parts, weld in all positions, and examine weldments for defects. The program also covers CNC plasma cutting and welding blueprint interpretation.
