Program Overview

The Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation program at Douglas College equips students with the knowledge and skills to use recreation and leisure activities to enhance the well-being of individuals facing challenges. Through a combination of classroom instruction, practical experience, and research, the program prepares students for certification as Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS) and careers in various settings, including hospitals, mental health centers, and social service agencies.
