Program Overview

The Health Care Assisting program at Douglas College equips students with the knowledge and skills to provide holistic care to individuals with diverse health needs, particularly those with physical care requirements or dementia. Through supervised practice experiences, students gain hands-on experience in health care settings, preparing them for careers as health care assistants in various settings, including homes, care facilities, and assisted living facilities.
