Upon completion of the Azure Fundamentals prep course, learners should have obtained the skills and knowledge to:

  • Describe cloud concepts, including benefits and considerations of using cloud services, differences between Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and the differences between public, private, and hybrid cloud models.
  • Describe core Azure services, including the core Azure architectural components, core products available in Azure, products available for networking, storage, databases, solutions available on Azure, big data and analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), serverless computing, and DevOps solutions available on Azure.
  • Describe Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Trust, including securing network connectivity in Azure, core Azure Identity services, security tools and features of Azure, Azure governance methodologies, monitoring and reporting options in Azure, and privacy, compliance, and data protection standards in Azure.
  • Describe Azure pricing and support, including Azure subscriptions, planning and management of costs, support options available with Azure, Azure Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and service lifecycle in Azure.
