Program Overview

The Opticianry (Diploma) program at Douglas College combines healthcare, business, fashion, and technology. Students study eyeglasses, contact lenses, and refraction technologies, preparing them for the College of Opticians exam to become licensed opticians in British Columbia. The program includes practical experience through retail site placements and is taught by experienced faculty members. Graduates are qualified for various careers in the optical industry.
