Program Overview

The Paswe'aatigook Anishinaabemowin Language Foundations program is a one-year Ontario college certificate program that immerses students in the Anishinaabemowin language and culture. The program aims to prepare graduates to speak Anishinaabemowin at a functional level with conversational fluency and to continue their language learning journey with knowledge of the culture. The program uses an immersive foundational approach to develop students' basic speaking, reading, and listening skills in Anishinaabemowin. Graduates will be able to pursue careers in various fields where knowledge of Anishinaabemowin and Indigenous culture is an asset.
