Overview
The Master of Science in Sports Management and Events is a postgraduate program designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to manage within the global sports and events industry. The program takes students beyond the field of play to explore in depth the business dimension of sports and events, analyzing the economics of sport at a local, national, and international level.
Academic Structure
The program consists of two semesters, each lasting six months, followed by a six-month internship or master thesis.

The curriculum includes:
Semester 1
- Learn how sport functions as a global business, including the economics of sports events at all levels.
- Take a deep dive into sports marketing, with a special focus on brand building and analyzing consumer behavior.
Semester 2
- Broaden your scope of study towards international sporting events and federations.
- Learn more about governance and stakeholder management, while also tackling ethical considerations and developing your leadership toolbox.
- Study the secrets of successful event execution.
Business Field Trips
- Students will embark on a transformative journey to Abu Dhabi, where they will engage with industry leaders against the backdrop of Formula 1, offering invaluable insights and connections.
- Immersive Local Business Trips: Our curriculum includes local business trips to associations, offering hands-on experiences and practical knowledge in real-world settings.
Final Semester: Internship or Applied Research Project
- Internship: A six-month professional internship will take you inside the sports, events, or hospitality industries, exposing you to different roles within your chosen field of work.
- Master Thesis: Should you decide to undertake a master thesis, it will give you the opportunity to work in a specific area of your choosing, taking a leading role in your own learning process.

- A Bachelor degree is required.
- The school accepts documents in English, or one of the Swiss national languages, i.e. French, German, and Italian. If not, an official notarized translation in English will be required.

- TOEFL: Internet-based 80 or paper-based 550
- First Cambridge Exam: Grade A
- Cambridge Advanced Exam: Grade C
- Duolingo 115 with no component under 105
