Program Overview

The Early Childhood Education Diversity Credential will help you develop the skills and competencies to work with children and families in our diverse society. The Diversity Credential is a four-course, 12-credit sequence. This credential is valuable for current child care educators and beneficial to everyone working in early childhood education.

Individuals in an early childhood educator role use this credential program to build their understanding of diversity, create culturally competent learning environments for children, and engage families of different backgrounds. The courses are also designed to prepare you for the commission process to earn your Registry Diversity Credential.

  • Spring 2026: Application available September 15, 2025, deadline March 15, 2026
• Additional Notes:
  • Certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid.
  • Class capacity is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Students who have already completed the certificate coursework at the time of application will receive the certificate diploma at the end of the term of application.
