About this Program

The Social Entrepreneurship concentration is a hands-on program that teaches students to use technological, creative, and financial resources to successfully start their own social enterprise.


Why Study Social Entrepreneurship?

Now more than ever, we need young leaders and innovators who are serious about social change. At MMC, you will have the guidance of professors and local New York City investors who will help you develop a business plan that will build your career while helping local communities.


What You Will Learn

  • Foundational principles and professional skills across business disciplines in courses including: Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Accounting, and Information Technology.
  • As a student in the Social Entrepreneurship concentration, you will graduate with: critical thinking skills, problem-solving creativity, cultural awareness, and an informed commitment to social, political, and ethical responsibility.
  • You will prepare to take on the challenges of modern entrepreneurship by taking courses in: Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Finance, Digital Marketing, The Legal Environment of Business, Advertising and Society, Business and Society, and Leadership.

Business is international. So why shouldn’t your education be? Learn firsthand how a global supply chain can affect another part of the globe. Faculty-led travel courses are short-term study abroad opportunities. Students in our Global Fashion Business course have visited London and Paris, two of the world’s fashion capitals.
