The course consists of 24 subjects or equivalent, with a core subject, compulsory subjects, and a range of elective subjects. Students can choose from various pathways, including:

Course Structure
The course structure includes:
- Core subject: IKC101 First Nations Foundations: Knowing, Relating and Understanding Country
- Compulsory subjects: EML102 Written Communication, EMM112 Mathematics and Numeracy Studies
- Key Learning Area (KLA) subjects: Students must complete at least eight KLA subjects, with four in the same KLA area.
- Graduate Education subjects: Students complete eight subjects, which form the first year of the Master of Teaching (Primary) or Master of Teaching (Secondary).

Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for the course include:
- Minimum ATAR required (including adjustment factors)
- Successful completion of two university-level subjects
- Completed AQF Certificate III or higher-level qualification
- 50% completion of an AQF Diploma-level qualification
- Successful completion of a Tertiary Preparation Course
- Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with an equivalent ranking
- Two years of full-time (or equivalent) work experience
