Program Overview

This program provides an introduction to building and fire codes, focusing on their application to construction projects. Students will gain an understanding of the California Building Code and California Fire Code, and learn how to apply them to the design and construction of buildings. The program prepares students for careers in the construction industry, such as building inspector, plan examiner, or building official.
