Graduate Certificate in Information Studies
The Graduate Certificate in Information Studies introduces students to fundamental skills and knowledge in the information and library sectors. This course is designed for those who want to explore trends in selected areas of librarianship and information science and apply the theories and principles upon which current practice is based.

What You Will Study
For each 8-point subject, students should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, intensive schools, or examinations.

Students select any three (3) 8-point subjects from the Master of Information Studies course (including subjects identified within specializations).

Entry Requirements
- A completed Bachelor or Master's degree (or AQF equivalent)
- OR
- Demonstrated work experience at a professional level (as recognized by an accrediting body of the course) of a minimum of 3 years full-time equivalence within the field of study or equivalent

If students have completed relevant tertiary study or work experience related to their course, they could receive credit towards their degree.
