Program Overview

The Basic Peace Officer Certificate of Achievement prepares students for careers in law enforcement. The program provides foundational knowledge in criminal law, procedure, investigation, and corrections. Students complete 22 units of coursework, including 19 units of required courses and 3 units of elective coursework. Graduates are qualified to work as police officers, sheriff's deputies, state troopers, and federal agents.
