Program Overview

The Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education prepares students for employment in the field, providing a foundation in child development, teaching principles, and curriculum. The program includes required courses in these areas, as well as elective courses that allow students to specialize in specific aspects of early childhood education. Graduates are eligible for a Site Supervisor permit in child development and are prepared for careers as Assistant Teachers, Teachers, and Child Development Specialists.
