Victoria University's Welding for Beginners short course provides hands-on training in basic welding techniques, including gas (Mig), manual metal arc (Stick), tungsten inert gas (Tig), and oxy cutting. Delivered through classroom theory and practical workshops, the 7-week course aims to equip participants with fundamental welding skills for personal projects or career advancement. Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:

Students are required to provide their own basic personal protective equipment (PPE) including: Clear safety glasses Hearing protection Steel capped boots Long sleeve shirt Full long-leg pants or overalls (not track pants) In addition, it is preferred students obtain before the second week of the course: Welding shield - fixed lens or auto-darkening, safety glasses, oxy goggles, grinding goggles and gauntlet gloves.
