Program Overview

The Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Early Childhood Education prepares individuals with any bachelor's degree to teach young children (birth – grade 2) in Illinois. The two-year program offers four formats, including traditional, teacher residency, alternative licensure, and accelerated track. Graduates gain the knowledge and skills to create engaging learning environments and optimize student learning in early childhood settings.
