Program Overview

This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to plan and execute meaningful activities for seniors in long-term care and community settings. It covers topics such as the importance of recreation for well-being, the impact of health conditions on leisure experiences, and tailoring activities to seniors' needs. Two practicums provide hands-on experience working with older adults. Graduates can pursue careers as Activity Assistants in various settings, including care facilities, community centers, and retirement homes.
