Program Overview

The Doctorate of Education (EdD) program offers three emphases: Leadership, Community & Cultures, and Urban Research and Governance. The core curriculum includes courses in research design, professional learning communities, and dissertation research. The Leadership emphasis focuses on issues in leadership, school districts as organizations, and ethics of leadership. The Community & Cultures emphasis explores culture and community, systems as organizations, and policy and political leadership.
