Program Overview

The Early Childhood Education Associate in Arts program equips students with the knowledge and skills to work with young children in various early care and education settings. Graduates are prepared for careers in childcare, nursery schools, and as teacher's aides, while also having the option to pursue teacher certification in Pre-kindergarten through 4th grade by transferring to a 4-year institution. The program emphasizes child development, family and community relationships, and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
