Program Overview

This 33-hour endorsement program prepares educators to become K-12 reading specialists. It requires a teaching certificate and two years of teaching experience. Students must pass the Praxis II Reading Specialist test (code 5302) to earn the endorsement. The program includes courses in children's literature, reading instruction, assessment, and leadership in literacy.
