The Bachelor of Science (Advanced) (Honours) is a direct-entry program designed for students who have not yet chosen a specific area of science to specialize in but intend to pursue a scientific discipline in-depth once they have. The program builds on the Bachelor of Science (Advanced) and allows students to explore their scientific interests before specializing. Students will face greater academic challenges at every stage of the program. Ultimately, graduates will emerge as clear future leaders in their chosen fields.


Outline:


First Year:

  • Students investigate various scientific fields before selecting a major to focus on in years two and three.
  • Students enjoy the same fantastic opportunities as Bachelor of Science (Advanced) students, including developing advanced research skills, making real-world connections through internships, and potentially gaining global experience with international study.

Honours Year:

  • Students can advance along either a disciplinary research or professional skills pathway.
  • The disciplinary research path is the most research-intensive pathway.
  • Students will work with a specific researcher or research group to undertake a major research project, together with advanced coursework, in one of the following study areas:
