Introduction
The English Academic Preparation Programme helps you improve your English and academic skills and is a perfect springboard to your studies in the truly international city of The Hague.
Admission Requirements
- Be eligible for the follow-up Bachelor's or Master's degree programme of your choice offered by The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
- Meet the English entry requirements (see below)

Additional Requirements
- Students with a non-EU/EEA nationality need to have a valid residence permit during their study.
- Students with a Chinese nationality need to have applied for a NUFFIC certificate before the deadline.

Programme
As an English Academic Preparation Programme student, you will attend lessons that focus on English reading, writing, listening and speaking. Moreover, you will learn other essential academic skills such as debating, oral presentations and research.
Teaching and Project Periods
The teaching terms are very intensive, but relatively short, so that there is time to work on assignments and projects individually or in groups. The September intake programme has 3 teaching terms and the January intake programme has 2 teaching terms.
Learning Materials
Books and online learning materials are included in the tuition fee. Students have Wi-Fi access throughout the university and can make use of all the facilities the university has to offer.

Besides the strong focus on enhancing your English language ability, the PREP programme aims to help you integrate into Dutch society and Dutch university life quickly and thoroughly so that you will be prepared for academic life in the Netherlands after the English Academic Preparation Programme.
