MBA in Management Information Systems (MBA-MIS)

Program Description

The MBA with a major in Management Information Systems (MIS) combines an MBA core with a specialization in information systems management. Students develop the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for business administration management as well as advanced knowledge pertaining to information systems.

Program Learning Objectives

Primary objectives of this program include equipping students with the knowledge and ability to:

1. Demonstrate sophisticated written communication.
2. Deliver professional oral presentations.
3. Apply advanced critical thinking to solve complex challenges.
4. Evaluate ethical dilemmas and recommend solutions based on Christian ethical principles.
5. Critically evaluate and synthesize information for effective management.

Mode of Instruction

Instruction can be completed through classroom-hybrid and/or online instructional methodologies.

Management Information Systems Major

• MIS 550 Enterprise Resource Planning for Managers (3)

Internship Component

• The Internship Component requirement can be fulfilled by completing an internship, internship reflection course, or by seeking Prior Experiential Learning credit (PEL). (2)

Elective Component

• The Electives Component requirement can be fulfilled by receiving credit for any graduate courses (500+) that are not a requirement. (1)

Capstone Component

• BUS 700 MBA Capstone: Strategy & Competition (3)

Graduation Requirements

1. Complete 36 semester units of the prescribed curriculum.
2. Complete a minimum of TWO internships.
3. Complete all required coursework with a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Apply for graduation and meet all academic and financial requirements.
5. F-1 students must maintain lawful status.
