International Year One (UTP Stage II): Environment, Earth, and Resources
International Year One (UTP Stage II): Environment, Earth, and Resources is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree from UM’s Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources. Tackle environmental issues that challenge the future of our planet in the only faculty in Canada that brings together experts from a variety of disciplines to offer multiple perspectives of the Earth.

To be eligible to progress to second year at UM, you must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours at ICM and have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00 upon completion of International Year One (UTP Stage II). Please see the Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources admissions bulletin and the UM Course Calendar regarding admission requirements for this specific program. Students who meet the International Year One (UTP Stage II) completion requirements but who do not meet the Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources’ admissions requirements and competitive GPA will be eligible to apply to either the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science, subject to UM’s admissions regulations.

Once you successfully transfer to second year studies, you will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of degree programs and majors. This may include four-year major, advanced, and honours degrees, Co-op options, as well as three-year general degrees.
