International Year One (UTP Stage II): Science is equivalent to the first year of the University of Manitoba’s Bachelor of Science degree program. UM’s Faculty of Science offers the widest variety of science programs in the province, along with opportunities to experience research alongside world-renowned scientists and the largest co-op work placement program in the province.

To be eligible to progress to second year at UM, you must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.0 and satisfy relevant entry requirements, with a minimum 30 credit hours of advanced standing.

Once you successfully transfer to second year studies, you will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of degree programs and majors. This may include four-year major, advanced, and honours degrees, Co-op options, as well as three-year general degrees.
