The Theater Department at Campbellsville University offers a minor in Theater, allowing students to study theater practices overall. The program seeks to enable students to succeed in both academic and vocational pursuits through the following objectives:
- Enable students to succeed in academic and vocational pursuits.
- Prepare students for a lifelong service to God and to the world through the perspective of theater arts.
- Provide a foundation in learning aspects of theater arts, and to help students structure their talents for a career in theater.
- Provide a quality learning environment in which students can learn about and engage in the theater arts.
Outline:
The Theater minor consists of 26 hours in core courses. Students can take one of the following emphases, which requires an additional 16 hours of course work:
- Performance
- Production If a Bachelor of Arts degree is sought, twelve hours of foreign language are also required. All Theater majors and minors must take TH 131 and MAC 120 or MAC 140 as part of their General Education requirements.
