This general humanities major allows students to customize their studies by selecting three disciplinary streams from a wide range of options. By combining breadth of knowledge with cross-disciplinary perspectives, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the humanities and develop skills in multiple areas. The program also encourages students to explore beyond their chosen streams, fostering a well-rounded liberal education.

three disciplinary streams

from the following: English One of French, Japanese, or Spanish; Classical Languages (Greek, Hebrew, and Latin) fine arts history Indigenous studies linguistics philosophy religious studies As a student participating in a general major degree program, you’re not limited to studying only within your three streams. As part of your liberal education, you will be required to take classes outside your major(s). This allows you to develop skills and experience in all three streams.
