The BCL program consists of eight subjects that can be taken concurrently with subjects in a discipline-based degree. The subjects are designed with flexibility in mind and delivered in intensive mode in the week prior to the commencement of Autumn and Spring sessions.

Domestic students:
- Assumed knowledge: 2 Units of HSC English.
- This program is made available to high-achieving students only.
- To be eligible for admission to the BCL, a student must attain a minimum ATAR of 85, or the minimum ATAR for their primary undergraduate degree, whichever is the higher.
- Students must also maintain a grade point average of 5 or above throughout the duration of their study.
- Current Western Sydney University students wishing to enrol in BCL subjects must have a minimum GPA for 5 or above.
- Non-school leavers must have completed an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 5.
