Program Overview

Thames International's 3-year Operations Management program equips students with a comprehensive understanding of key concepts in the field, including environmental management, project management, and logistics. Through a flipped classroom approach and experiential learning, students develop practical skills and industry knowledge. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in operations management, including roles such as Operations Manager and Logistics Manager.

• Module Description: This module introduces students to the concepts and principles of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.
Students will learn about the benefits of implementing an environmental management system, the steps involved in developing and implementing an environmental management system, and the challenges of environmental management.
• Inventory Management and Control
• Module Description: This module provides students with an overview of inventory management and control.
Students will learn about the different types of inventory, the different methods of inventory management, and the different techniques for controlling inventory.
• Project Management
• Module Description: This module introduces students to the concepts and principles of project management.
Students will learn about the different phases of a project, the different types of project management tools and techniques, and the different challenges of project management.
• Costing and Pricing
• Module Description: This module introduces students to the concepts and principles of costing and pricing.
Students will learn about the different types of costs, the different methods of costing, and the different techniques for pricing products and services.
• Logistics Management
• Module Description: This module introduces students to the concepts and principles of logistics management.
Students will learn about the different types of logistics, the different methods of logistics management, and the different challenges of logistics management.
• Productivity and Quality Tools
• Module Description: This module introduces students to the different productivity and quality tools that are used in business.
Students will learn about the benefits of using productivity and quality tools, the different types of productivity and quality tools, and the different ways to use productivity and quality tools.
• Facilities Management
• Module Description: This module introduces students to the concepts and principles of facilities management.
Students will learn about the different types of facilities, the different methods of facilities management, and the different challenges of facilities management.
• Special Topics in Operations Management
• Module Description: This module allows students to explore a specific topic in operations management in depth.
Students will work with a faculty member to develop a research project on the topic of their choice.
