- Common Core: 32 credits minimum for the thesis option, 34 credits minimum for the Alternative Plan Paper Option, and 36 Credits minimum for the Coursework-only Option.

- GEOG 671: Geodatabase (3 credits)
- GEOG 672: Geospatial Modeling & Simulation (3 credits)
- GEOG 673: Advanced GIS (3 credits)
- GEOG 674: Advanced Remote Sensing (3 credits)
- GEOG 670: Seminar in GIS (3 credits)
- Restricted Electives: Students must choose 12-18 credits from a list of approved courses.
