Program Overview

The Licensed Optician Diploma Program at Stenberg College is a 55-week program that combines theory, practice, and application to train students in eyeglass dispensing, contact lens fitting, and automated refraction. The program is delivered through a combination of online and in-person instruction, and students complete a number of practicum hours in a clinical setting. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the regulatory college in their province of residence and can work in a variety of settings, including optometry clinics, optical stores, and ophthalmology offices.
