Program Overview

This 47-week online diploma program prepares students to become Therapeutic Recreation Assistants specializing in gerontology. Through a combination of theory and practicum, students learn to design and lead programs that enhance the quality of life for older adults, focusing on their social, physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being. The program includes additional certifications in workplace safety, food handling, violence prevention, and senior fitness instruction.
