Program Overview


This program prepares students to become certified sign language interpreters, a high-demand profession in the Tampa Bay area, which has the fifth largest Deaf population in the country. Certified interpreters work in various settings, including business, education, healthcare, and government. SPC instructors are certified by the American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) and/or the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
