Program Overview
This one-quarter, 12-credit certificate program provides training in emergency medical care, including infectious disease prevention, patient handling, airway management, and emergency response techniques. Upon successful completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible for national registry testing to become an EMT. Entry Requirements:
- Current government issued photo identification
- High school diploma or GED
- Age 18 prior to clinical or field experience during the program
- NREMT Certification eligibility requires a person to be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED
- Students not meeting eligibility requirements may take the course for credit and may be eligible to attempt certification exams upon meeting certification requirements.
