Program Overview

The Ph.D. in School Improvement program at Texas State University prepares educational leaders, policymakers, and researchers to facilitate educational improvement through systems-level processes and structures. The program emphasizes transformational school leadership, culturally responsive leadership, and research-informed practice. Students complete 51 hours of coursework, 12 hours of dissertation, and have the opportunity to incorporate international research into their studies.
