Outline:
Year one You'll begin your studies with a broad foundation in media and communication, including writing, editing, design, and digital media. You'll also complete units in critical thinking, research methods, and ethics. Year two You'll specialise in one of three majors: Journalism, Public Relations or Advertising. You'll also complete a range of units in media law, media history, and media theory. Year three You'll complete a capstone project that will allow you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge. You'll also complete a professional placement in the media industry.

You'll be assessed through a variety of methods, including: written assignments presentations portfolio building practical work exams

Entry Requirements:
Domestic Students:
VCE Units 3 and 4: a minimum study score of 25 in any English (except EAL) or 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or equivalent.
International Students:
Successful completion of Australian Year 12, or equivalent overseas qualification.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
Satisfactory completion of one of the following: IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0 Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 65%, all skills 65% or equivalent measures available at English language requirements.
