The Department of Music in the College of Liberal Arts offers the M.M. in Music, an advanced, professional degree designed to develop a particular area in music to a high level of specialization.

The Master of Music degree is tailored for students aiming to refine their expertise in music to an advanced, specialized level. Students choose from the following emphases:

Accelerated Master's Degree in Music

Undergraduate music majors who have completed 90 credits as an undergraduate with a GPA of 3.0 or greater can begin earning credit toward an M.M. in Music, while completing their undergraduate degree.

Applicants should have at least a 3.00 GPA on their undergraduate degree in music. Different emphases have particular application requirements.
