The Master of Taxation and Data Analytics (MTDA) program is a STEM-designated program that offers specialization in both taxation and data analytics. This program is one of the few in the nation that combines these two fields, making it a unique and valuable opportunity for students.

The MTDA program was launched in 2018 through a partnership with KPMG. It is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in data analytics and a specialization in taxation. The program is 30 credit hours and can be completed in 10-12 months.

Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission to the MTDA program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Full-Standing Admission:
- Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA
- Completion of required undergraduate courses with minimum grades
- Minimum 445 GMAT score (if not eligible for a GMAT waiver)
- English language proficiency exam requirements (for international students)
- Required Undergraduate Courses:
- University of Mississippi accounting majors: minimum grades of C in ACCY 401 and ACCY 405
- Accounting majors from other institutions with separate accounting accreditation by AACSB International: minimum grades of C in undergraduate auditing and tax courses equivalent to ACCY 401 and ACCY 405
- Accounting majors in programs without separate accounting accreditation by AACSB and applicants who majored in a field of study other than accounting: completion of specific courses with minimum grades
- GMAT:
- The GMAT requirement is waived for Patterson School accounting majors with an overall or resident GPA of 3.0 or higher and undergraduate accounting majors with an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher from other AACSB-accredited institutions
- The GMAT is required for all students who wish to be considered for a PSOA graduate assistantship

Financial Aid
Financial aid for MTDA students includes:
- PSOA Financial Aid Awards: graduate assistantships, scholarships, fellowships
- PSOA Graduate Assistantship: approximately 50 graduate assistantships awarded each year, includes partial tuition scholarship, non-resident fee scholarship, and semesterly stipend
- Hearin Foundation Graduate Fellowship: awarded to Mississippi residents who are admitted to the MTDA program and plan to work in Mississippi upon graduation
- KPMG MADA Scholarship: awarded to students in the MADA program, includes scholarship of $7,500 in fall and spring semesters
