Program Overview


Overview of the Bachelor of Arts/Law Program

The Bachelor of Arts/Law is a five-year undergraduate degree that combines the study of law and arts. This multidisciplinary program provides students with a unique perspective on contemporary issues in law, justice, humanities, social sciences, and more. Students can tailor their degree to their interests, aspirations, and career goals by choosing from 30 disciplines offered by the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture.


Program Structure

The Bachelor of Arts/Law contains a total of 240 units of credit (UOC). The program is made up of:


  • Law compulsory courses: 96 UOC
  • Law prescribed elective: 6 UOC
  • Law elective courses: 42 UOC
  • Bachelor of Arts: 96 UOC, which includes a major specialization (48 UOC), a minor specialization (36 UOC), and prescribed electives (12 UOC)

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the Bachelor of Arts/Law program, students must meet the admission requirements, which include:


  • Lowest selection rank: 97.7 + LAT (Law Admission Test)
  • A levels: 18 + LAT
  • IB Diploma: 42 + LAT
  • Lowest ATAR: 85.4*
  • English language requirements: Students may be asked to provide evidence of their English proficiency to study at UNSW.
