The Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) is a three-year degree designed to prepare students for a professional career in general aviation, commercial airlines, and global aviation operations. The Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) prepares aspiring pilots for a professional career in aviation. Students explore the science and technology behind flight, develop advanced aeronautical knowledge, and undertake all the flight training required to earn their pilot licenses.

Academic studies are based at UNSW's Kensington Campus, where students complete courses in subject areas such as:

Flight Training Components

Practical flight training takes place through the UNSW Flying Operations Unit (FOU) at Bankstown Airport. The FOU includes state-of-the-art flight simulators, a modern fleet of Diamond DA40 and Piper PA44 aircraft, dedicated briefing rooms, and flight planning facilities.

The program is a three-year full-time course, including:
