The Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering with Architecture) (Honours) is an innovative degree that extends the current Civil Engineering bachelor degree by including courses in Architecture from the School of Built Environment. This degree aims to inspire students to become conceptual thinkers with an appreciation for architectural beauty and the mathematical insight to challenge traditional boundaries of structural design.
Overview
This degree leads to a professionally accredited Engineering qualification with a foundation in architectural principles and an understanding of both the architect's role in structural design and the connection between architects and engineers. Civil engineers create and manage the infrastructure of our built environment, including bridges, roads and highways, tunnels, dams, ports and harbours, railways, water supply and sewerage schemes, irrigation systems, and many other structures.
